We’re pleased to announce the double signing of goalkeeper Bert White and George Ward.
20 year-old goalkeeper Bert White has featured as a Trialist for a number of our pre-season games and is available to play in our opening game this afternoon. Starting his career in the youth setups at AFC Bournemouth, White made a move to AFC Wimbledon’s academy setup. He featured in AFC Wimbledon’s U18’s squad in the 2019-20 season. It was in September 2020, where he joined up with Ipswich’s U23’s squad. White was also loaned out to Gosport Borough for a month’s loan in August 2021.
George Ward is a 20 year old centre back. He is a competitive and combative person who has been in and around the team this pre season. George will bring to the group his strong organisational and communication skills.
Weymouth Football Club would like to welcome both Bert and George to the club and wish them every success in a Terras shirt.
