Bobby Wilkinson spoke to us ahead of his first home fixture in charge of the Terras, as Weymouth host Dover Athletic

On preparations this week: “Everyone at the club has worked very hard this week, they’ve been a credit to manage and I’m extremely proud of them. We’ve got a group of hungry players to choose from, to try and pick up the first three points of the season. Overall, it’s all about us and how, as a team, we can believe in ourselves, to be able to get points to move us up the table. Ultimately, we want to get smiles on faces, that is our aim.”

On Dover: “We’ve had a good look at Dover, we know they have a good forward line with some pace on the wings. They themselves are on a bad run, in desperate need of three points, so it’s going to be a really tough game.”

Team news: “Ibrahim Bakare has parted company with the club, travel with the squad was an issue, but he’s left with our best wishes for his future career.”

Staff news: “Miles Kynigos (Performance Analyst) has left the club, we appreciate his hard work over the last few months across the first team, but also his help with the U23s and wish him all the best going forward.”
