MARK Molesley says his Weymouth side’s trip to Oxford City tonight (7.45pm) cannot come quick enough, after his side endured a frustrating 1-1 draw at Tonbridge Angels over the weekend in the Vanarama National League South.
The Terras had led Tonbridge 1-0, but conceded two penalties, one of which was scored, but the Terras are pleased for a quick turnaround when they face the Hoops.
Molesley told Echosport: “The game can’t come quick enough because we want to get back out there and get back on the horse so to speak.
“Like every game, they are all tough.
“Two games travelling away is going to be tough but that is the challenge and this league always throws up challenges, and none more so than a second away game (in a row) on a Tuesday against a good Oxford side who play on the Astro and play a certain way.
“They play good football.”
The Hoops have had a tougher start to the year than the Terras, with two wins, two draws but four losses and as a result sit 17th in the table with eight points.
The Terras meanwhile, are four points better off but 10 places ahead of Oxford, sitting seventh with 12 points.
Yet Weymouth’s form has begun to stutter of late, with the Tonbridge draw compounded by defeats in their previous two games, to Chippenham Town and Wealdstone.
Captain Josh McQuoid (hamstring) remains out for the Terras, while Ben Thomson made the bench for the draw with Tonbridge, but did not make an appearance.
