JASON Matthews stressed the need for the Terras to boost their current home record, insisting âall of our home games now are crucialâ.
The Terras, who host Kingâs Lynn Town at the Bob Lucas Stadium tonight (7.45pm) have picked up 12 points from eight league outings on their own patch so far this term, with four wins and four defeats.
And Matthews, who is still struggling with a tricep injury ahead of tonightâs encounter, is expecting a positive display from his side against the Linnets this evening.
He told Echosport: âObviously all of our home games now are crucial and I am under no illusion, we need to win them. Itâs as simple as that.
âItâs another tough game against a team that will give you nothing. We need to go out and put in a performance like we did against Poole Town last Tuesday.
âWe need to play like we know we can play and there is no reason why we shouldnât get a result out of the game.
âItâs a crucial period in the season for me personally and the team.â
Ben Thomson is out of tonightâs clash through suspension but Matthews is set to recall frontman Sam Jordan, who got 90 minutes for Melksham Town on Saturday.
Asked about Jordan, the Weymouth chief replied: âHe will come back into the squad tonight. Itâs an added boost for us and gives us some firepower.
âI have no doubt in his ability. I brought him in at the start of the season to add competition, now I feel is an ideal chance to see what he can do.
âIt gives him a good opportunity to stake his claim.â
Also on the striker front, Matthews described Stewart Yetton as âvery closeâ to returning from a hamstring injury and insisted he âmay be able to play some partâ tonight.
Yetton scored when the sides locked horns at the Bob Lucas Stadium last season, with Jordan Copp also on target in a 2-0 win for the hosts.
