Lionel AINSWORTH

Biography: Lionel Ainsworth joined the Terras in August 2019 following a two-season spell with Plymouth Argyle.

Lionel brings a wealth of Football League experience and adds to the club’s attacking options. Lionel is a former England Youth International and has played in the Championship during spells at Derby and Watford, as well as in the Football League with Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United.

In recent seasons Lionel played in the Scottish Premiership for Motherwell between 2013-2017, before joining Plymouth Argyle for two seasons.

Lionel scored his first goal for the Terras against Dulwich Hamlet in October 2019, with a stunning volley in a 2-2 draw at Champion Hill.
