Weymouth Reserves will look to move a step closer to retaining their Jewson Wessex Combination League crown when they travel to Andover New Street tomorrow (3pm).

The Terras go into the game on the back of a fine 4-1 victory at Bashley on Wednesday night and a couple more three-point hauls should see the trophy return to the Wessex Stadium.

However, manager Dave Kiteley will be without his two-goal hero from midweek, Marc Whiteman, who is on first team duty, while Nathan Walker and John Lamb are also on senior stand by.

The boss said: “With the injury crisis that’s effecting the first team, it’s a case of waiting until the last minute to see who is available to play.

“Obviously the senior side is the club’s priority and it’s great to see some of the young reserve players getting their chance.”

On the plus side for Kiteley, both Mark Fitch and Paul Lambert are expected to be available after recovering from injury and but on the down side, Mark Nicholson has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle problem.

“We’ll miss Mark’s experience,” added Kiteley, “but he’s visited a specialist and has been told to stop playing for the rest of the season.

“Hopefully both Chris and Fitchy will be okay although I won’t risk either if they’re not 100 per cent fit.”

Terras:
Gadsby, Hill, Walker, Naylor, Mutch, C Frear, Bichard, Lambert, Lamb, Ravenscroft, De La Planque, Fitch, S Frear, Taylor
