JASON Matthews insists his Terras’ side need to start turning draws into wins if they are going to back up their ambitions.
Last night’s 1-1 encounter with bottom club Paulton Rovers capped the third successive point the Terras have picked up from a possible nine, with level games previously against Dorchester Town and St Neots.
And the Terras’ chief insists slight lapses cost his troops against Rovers at Winterfield Road.
Commenting on his side’s display, he told Echosport: “I would say the first half was very even. In the second half we took the game to Paulton but couldn’t get the goals our play deserved.
“I didn’t feel we worked their keeper enough. Although we had a decent amount of possession I can’t recall him having to make many good saves.
“I felt that we switched off for a couple of periods in the game and again it has cost us. We have probably not done quite enough to get over the finishing line.
“It’s disappointing because they are bottom. It was a really boggy surface but I am not making that an excuse.”

He added: “It’s three draws on the bounce now and we need to start winning. That starts on Saturday with Hitchin.”
Matthews, who returned to the starting XI last night, also confirmed goalkeeper Andrew Dawber’s loan spell has ended.
