Assistant Manager Paul Maitland gave us an update ahead of the big FA Cup tie. He also wished Jordan Rose the very best of luck after the defenders one-month loan came to an end.

Josh Barton: Chippenham Town are the visitors tomorrow in the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round. What are the thoughts of the management team and the squad going into this game?

Paul Maitland: It’s a break from league action and we are looking forward to playing last seasons league winners. They are in the league above and have had a reasonable start to the season. It’ll be a tough game but we are looking forward to it.

JB: A few familiar faces return to the BLS tomorrow.

PM: We are looking forward to seeing Jason and Dean tomorrow. I became friends with Jason and it’ll be good to see him tomorrow. Any friendships are put to one side when that first whistle blows. I’m hope that we will have a chat with him after the game. Dean left us on good terms and was a good player for us. He left for his own reasons and has settled in at his new club so like I say, it’ll be good to see him too.

JB: Jordan Rose’s month loan has now come to an end. Obviously everyone at the club wishes him well.

PM: Jordan came in and did really well. He became a real fans favourite. He was also very popular amongst the squad. A second month’s loan option was discussed. Unfortunately on Monday, Lee Bradbury called us and said they would be recalling Jordan. He wouldn’t have been able to play on against Chippenham anyway due to Havant not wanting him to play in the FA Cup. The door is always open for him to return but obviously we have been looking at different options for when Jordan eventually left us.
