After 2 long journeys away it’s back to “Home Sweet Home” for the Terras as it’s last seasons losing play-off finalists Welling who travel to the south coast.

After 4 games without a win, Weymouth will be desperate to claim all three points to continue the good start to the season after picking up 13 points in the first 9 games. The last time the Terras went 4 without a win, the next 5 games were all wins.

Welling come into this clash with 1 win in the last 3, that being a 4-2 victory against Tonbridge. Welling like Weymouth drew 0-0 in midweek and will be looking to put amends to that result come Saturday. They currently sit 14th in the table with 12 points with a symmetrical record of Won 3, Drew 3 and Lost 3. While sitting in 14th they are only 2 points outside the playoffs with the pack being really tight apart from Wealdstone who are already 7 clear at the top with 24 points.

Weymouth currently sit 10th in the table with 13 points with a record of Won 3, Drew 4 and Lost 2. Welling’s away record stands at Played 4, Won 0, Drew 2, Lost 2. The 2 draws coming against Havant on the opening day and Chelmsford on the 24th of August.

Thoughts from the gaffer, Mark Molesley

“We know we’ve got to be at our best to get anything out of any game – that’s the challenge and we’ve got to reach those heights.”
