MARK Molesley is confident Callum Buckley can return in top form for the Terras after joining Hayes & Yeading United on a one-month loan.
Terras’ boss Molesley has often placed left-back Buckley on the bench with the outstanding form of Ollie Harfield at left-back.
Buckley, who can also play at centre-half, has struggled to gain regular match minutes despite being a near ever-present for the Terras during Molesley’s tenure.
When fit, Sam Sherring and Stephane Zubar have often been preferred to Buckley in central defence, while the introduction of Bournemouth’s Shaun Hobson has further dropped the former Aldershot defender down the pecking order.
Speaking to Echosport, Molesley backed Buckley to return a better player from his spell at Hayes.
He said: “Callum’s found himself on the bench quite a bit lately. Callum’s done fantastically well for Weymouth and he’s a big player for us.
“Callum always has his better games after a run of games and we want to try and get his match fitness up because that brings out the best in him.”
“The idea is to go out and get a month so we can keep him in the best possible shape.”
“He’s done really well – we want the best Callum Buckley. He’s such a great lad, with a great attitude.
“We just felt to go and get a run of games would be beneficial for all parties.”
