Attentions turn back to the MANarama National League South this weekend as Weymouth host Concord Rangers in what will the 12th game of the season and we are only at the end of September.

After last Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup triumph against Sholing the Terras will be hoping to continue the good form that sees us sit 5th in the table with 19 points and a record of Won 5, Drawn 4 and Lost just 2 in the 11 games played so far with the 2 losses coming in the Bank Holiday Weekend in August against Chippenham and top of the table Wealdstone.

Meanwhile for Concord, well they will be hoping to right some wrongs after they were eliminated from the Emirates FA Cup, losing away 3-1 away to Margate. Definitely not a jolly boys outing for Rangers. They currently sit 9th in the national league south with 17 points, just the two behind the Terras meaning they will go above Weymouth if they were to prevail at the Bob Lucas Stadium. Concord have currently Won 5, Drawn 2 and Lost 4.

The most recent defeat in the league being a 2-0 defeat at home to Dartford. However in the last away game Rangers played, they picked up a 3-2 victory at Hampton and Richmond.

Thoughts from the gaffer, Mark Molesley

“We’ve had a good spell of late, but the most important thing is to keep that going. We’ll keep working hard, keep striving to improve and prepare the best we can.”
