Weymouth Football Club is delighted to announce that Josh Wakefield has committed his future to the club by recently signing a new contract.
Josh has been an important player in our success and as a club, we are pleased to reward Josh with a new contract.
The midfielder spent six years with AFC Bournemouth before spells with Aldershot Town and Poole Town. Josh has made 124 appearances, scoring 10 times for Weymouth since signing in July 2017 and was recently named as the club’s player of the month for October 2019.
Wakefield has made 33 appearances this season, scoring twice and assisting six times.
