Weymouth Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of centre-back Myles Anderson.

The 30-year-old joins the Terras having spent the past two seasons with Hartlepool United.

Anderson started his footballing career within the Leyton Orient youth set-up,making his professional debut with Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership in 2011.

The 6ft+ defender then made the move to then Premier League side Blackburn Rovers before a spell in Italy with Monza and Chievo.

Anderson made the national headlines during lockdown when he started the “Move with Myles for the NHS” fundraising campaign, which saw fellow National League players join him remotely on runs to raise money for the NHS.

Speaking to uptheterras.co.uk Anderson said, “I’m absolutely delighted to have signed for Weymouth. I’m excited to join a positive & humble environment.

“I will be looking to work hard to help the club and this group of players, staff & fans to add to the success that they have already experienced & achieved over the last couple of seasons. I can’t wait to get started!”

We look forward to welcoming Anderson to the Bob Lucas Stadium in our return to the Vanarama National League.
