The Terras travel to Woking in the first of 2 games over the busy May Bank Holiday Weekend period.
Brian Stock’s side are going into the game with confidence coming off the back of their 1-0 win away to Maidenhead on Tuesday night. Calvin Brooks put the Terras in front and a penalty save from Ethan Ross ensured that the Terras would do the double in the league over the side this season. The win saw the Terras move up to 18th in the league.
The last time the 2 sides met each other was back in October as the Cardinals ran out 1-0 winners with Slavi Spasov scoring the only goal. The pacy Bulgarian forward ran down the left wing before dispatching it into the net. Spasov was brought back to his parent club, Oxford United in February and has made just 1 appearance.
Woking are struggling towards the later stages of the season. Despite being amongst the leaders of the pack at the top of the league over the first few games, the side now sit below the Terras in 20th place but just one point off their opponents. The side are without a league win in 8 games and have lost the last 5 in a row including a 1-0 defeat to promotion chasing Halifax in their game prior to this.
The Cardinals do have an array of attacking options at their disposal however, including 17 year old Jayden Wareham, who has the likes of Premier League giants Chelsea watching him. That’s not the sides only link to the Premier League as former West Ham and Norwich midfielder Matt Jarvis has featured for Woking over 20 times this campaign.
