Weymouth Football Club are saddened to hear the passing of former player and manager Frank O’Farrell at the age of 94

Frank managed 215 games with a 52% win ratio. He oversaw our very first Southern League title in 1965 and, before that, the famous FA Cup run to the 4th round at Preston in 1962 that included a giant killing over Football League side Newport County.

He also played 109 times for the club as player manager scoring 13 times. He then went on to manage the likes of Torquay United, Leicester City & then Manchester United during his career.

Our thoughts are with Frank’s friends and family as we offer our sincerest condolences.

Rest in peace, Frank.
