Weymouth Football Club are delighted to confirm that goalkeeper Harrison Bruton has agreed a new one-year deal with the club, subject to FA and league approval!

Our young keeper has progressed through the youth ranks at Weymouth Football Club and has made a positive start to pre-season. Harrison spent time at Champion Academy and also spent time at Shaftesbury and Merley Cobham. He also spent the 2020-21 season on loan with Portland United in a dual-registration. Still awaiting his first senior competitive appearance for the first team, Bruton will be hoping to make his mark between the sticks this season.

Harrison Bruton: “I’m really looking forward to what the season holds. It’s a pleasure to spend another year at my home-town club. I feel the club is moving in a really positive direction and I’m glad to be a part of that. Looking forward to seeing all the fans at the Bob Lucas Stadium in a few weeks time. UTT”

David Oldfield: “Harrison has been with us regularly last season and during pre season. He has earned a contract with an outstanding attitude and work ethic. He is a young player who has come through the lower age groups at the club and demonstrates the pathway we are trying to achieve. Harrison needs to train hard, gain match experience and continue to flourish in the group.”

Everybody at Weymouth Football Club would like to wish Harrison all the best for the upcoming season!
