Weymouth Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Claudio Ofosu, following a successful trial period with the club.

23-year-old Claudio appeared in both of our pre-season games against Portland United and Bridport. Ofosu began his career in the youth setups at Stevenage and had month long loan moves to Mildenhall Town and King’s Langley in 2018. He then made a permanent move from Stevenage to St. Neots Town that summer. In January 2019, Ofosu signed for Biggleswade Town, before making a summer move to Royston Town. It was then after a season with Royston Town, that then National League Hartlepool moved for Ofosu in 2020. He played 12 times for the EFL promotion winning side, with all but one of his 12 appearances coming at the very start of that season, scoring once in a 4-0 win over Maidenhead United. In the summer of 2021, Kettering signed Ofosu, where he stayed until January 2022, scoring once in a 1-0 win over Bradford Park Avenue, before making a move to Spennymoor Town for the remainder of the 2021-22 season.

David Oldfield: “We are again delighted to welcome a new signing to Weymouth FC. Claudio has been in the group and worked well during pre season and we are excited to get an agreement done. Claudio has played at a good level before and we are looking for him to strive to reach his potential. He’s a player who can play various positions and is a great person to have at the club. Welcome, Claudio!”

Everybody at Weymouth Football Club would like to welcome Claudio to the team and wish him every success in a Terras shirt!
