We’re delighted to announce that Matty Burrows and Frankie Monk have both signed their first senior deals with the club.
Coming through our U23’s squad, Matty and Frankie have been extremely impressive with their performances in that squad, which has seen the pair train with the First Team and be named amongst some of the matchday squads this season.
Interim CEO Paul Maitland: “I am really pleased for both Matty and Frankie. They have worked hard to break into the First Team squad and now the challenge for them is to continue to work hard, keep progressing and fulfill the potential they have. Hopefully the progress of both lads will act as encouragement for the rest of our U23’s, who have been performing really well both last season and this season.”
Speaking to Echosport, boss Bobby Wilkinson said: “They’re two fantastic lads. I’m trying to bring the whole club together with what I’m trying to do, including the youngsters and give them the opportunity. These two are coming through and I wouldn’t give them a deal if I didn’t think they were good enough. They deserve it. I’m pleased for everyone at the football club in that department.”
