Weymouth FC are proud to bestow the honour of naming the stand on Southill side of the pitch after a Club Legend Tony Hobson.

Tony can be found in this stand for almost every home game and his love for Weymouth FC today is as strong as it was over 70 years ago.

Tony played a club record 1,076 times for Weymouth FC! This feat will surely be in the history books forever and unlikely to be surpassed.

Tony is a Weymouth FC Legend, and to honour this record, the Stand on Southhill side of the pitch will become “The Tony Hobson Stand”.

We welcome Tony, his wife and his family to the Bob Lucas Stadium for this historic occasion. A commemorative plaque can be found nearby to Gate 8 which is where Tony likes to watch the Terras on match days.
