Weymouth Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of 25 year old striker Norman Wabo, after his release from National League South club Eastbourne Borough, where he made 14 appearances after joining the club in January.

Wabo becomes the 11th summer signing for Weymouth and he comes with a wealth of non league experience having been on loan to the likes of Ebbsfleet, Maidstone & Braintree just to name a few. A product of the Southend youth academy, Wabo made 5 appearances in League One before being sent out on loan.

Wabo left for Dartford in the summer of 2019 making 17 appearances in his first season, Wabo would go out on loan in the second half of the season before finding his feet at Eastbourne at the end of last season.

Manager Bobby Wilkinson expressed his delight to get the experienced striker in, speaking to the Weymouth media team he said ” Norman comes from Eastbourne where he got a good run of games, it’s great to have him on board with us.”

“Norman has good experience at this level and above, he’s a powerful player, has good hold up play and lots of movement”

Norman also spoke to the Weymouth media team saying it was the manager that helped convince him to join: “I can’t wait to get going, the gaffer was really key in me joining and I’m really looking forward to scoring goals and putting a smile on the fans faces”
