There is no better time to announce how proud Weymouth FC Women are to reveal their front of shirt sponsor, than Pride Month.

The Closet in Weymouth have agreed to a two year sponsorship deal as Front of Shirt Home Sponsor as well as Back of Shirt Away Sponsor for both the Women’s First and Development team.

The Closet is an extremely popular venue in Weymouth’s Town Centre, who boast the love to party and can cater for all occasions. From hen party’s and stag do’s, to birthdays and work functions – you name it, they have it covered.

We are delighted to work alongside The Closet, Jamie and the team for many reasons, but one of the most significant has to be the fact we share similar values. We are both aspiring, enthusiastic and vibrant teams, that are inclusive and diverse and pride ourselves in offering a safe space for others to enjoy life.

We would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Jamie and his team at The Closet for coming on board with us and supporting our women in football. We are very excited to work with him and the club and look forward to a long lasting relationship.

Paul Tapper, Head of Women at Weymouth FC said “We are so grateful to Jamie and The Closet for their support. Without this kind of input we couldn’t offer what we do. Financially it helps to remove barriers in the women’s game and let’s us focus on what’s important. It’s also a great excuse to party with friends!”

Jamie owner of The Closet, Weymouth commented on his decision to sponsor Weymouth Women.

“I chose to become the front of shirt sponsor for both women’s teams because it’s an excellent time to get on board!
Women’s sport is growing and I want to support that, especially as statistically there are more openly LGBTQIA+ representatives than in the men’s game.

I approached Charlie (Weymouth FC Women Team Captain) with the idea, as she’s a friend and a colleague. With that it just sort of rolled in an exciting direction. I already feel a wonderful partnership growing and the season hasn’t even begun. I look forward to supporting both teams when they’re on the pitch but also off the pitch, whenever they need a venue for a social.

Keep your eyes peeled as we’re working on ideas for some offers and deals at The Closet for any supporters of Weymouth FC.”

Thank you again Jamie and to all at The Closet!
