Weymouth FC Women are delighted to confirm that Attacking Midfielder, Annie Redding has been named Women’s First Team Captain ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Having been an essential cog in the teams midfield since joining The Terras 3 years ago, Annie is a much loved and much respected member of the team as well as within the local community. On being named Women’s First Team Captain ahead of the 2025/26 Season here is what Annie had to say:
“I’m incredibly excited and honoured to be named captain of Weymouth Women for the upcoming season. To lead this team out wearing the shirt of my hometown club means so much to me.
Having grown up in Weymouth and come through the youth system, captaining this side makes me extremely proud. To be given the opportunity to lead the team I’ve always supported fills me with immense pride and a real sense of honour.
I’m deeply passionate about helping grow and shape the future of the women’s game here in Weymouth. Supporting the development of our younger players and inspiring the next generation of Weymouth Terras is something I care about deeply, and I’m committed to doing everything I can to help them thrive.
This season marks an exciting new chapter— a time of transition and growth. We’ll be rebuilding, developing, and growing stronger together as a team, and I can’t wait to see what we achieve.
I’m buzzing to get going and look forward to seeing you all at the Bob Lucas Stadium. Your support, as always, means everything to us.
Here’s to a great season ahead.”
It’s Good to have you on board for the season ahead, Captain!
