John Pritchard: We saw on Saturday you had to come on early and replace Thommo, the manager needed you to make an impact and you did, how good was it to get off the mark and seal a brace?

Brett Williams: Yes very good. Always good to get off the mark, I basically missed 3 games through illness so good to get a couple of goals early!

JP: Yeah it was great to see you back, I bet it must have been a good feeling to get the goals and show the manager why he bought you in?

BW: Yeah very good to make the impact to the team. It’s nice to play in a team which creates so many chances.

JP: Yeah that’s for sure, the squad is looking very good and have looked very good going forward! On the socials you have the mask for the celebration graphic, can you tell us the story behind that?

BW: I’ve not done one before and they’re getting used by all the clubs now! I asked my boy Alfie, who’s 3, for what celebration to use and he said to use his gecko mask.

JP: Haha that’s brilliant mate! After scoring a brace you were named in the Vanarama team of the week! That’s something to be happy with for sure, is that the first time?

BW: It’s always nice to get recognised for your efforts from the league. It’s been a while for the Conference South since I’ve been in there but I’ve been in the Conference National one a few times and maybe in League Two once if I remember rightly! I could be making that up though!

JP: Until it’s proven wrong you’ll take it! You have had some time now to settle in, just how good is the squad we have and depth?

BW: Very good, Mark (Molesley) has shown that with the rotation of players in the first 5 games, it’s not 11 starters and subs, it’s a whole squad where everyone will play when called upon. It’s better that way so players don’t feel left out. The squad atmosphere at the moment is a very good one!
