WEYMOUTH assistant-manager Tom Prodomo has praised on-loan Terras’ striker Harry Baker for his ‘first class’ attitude after the news of his loan at Frome Town being extended was announced.
Baker first joined Frome Town on loan for one month on August 25 and on Wednesday it was announced that he is set to stay there for another month.
When asked if he was happy with Baker’s progress, Prodomo said: “Absolutely. Harry’s attitude has been first class.
“He has put in some really good performances as well so it keeps him fresh and ready for action which is a positive for us and it is also good for him to be getting the time out on the pitch.”
Prodomo also revealed that Baker is still spending half of his time training with the Weymouth squad, who travel to Staines Town (3pm) today), during his loan.
Baker made a flying start to his loan deal, as he scored a brace in his second match at Frome, in a 3-1 win away at Merthyr Town.
Prodomo said: “We have someone down monitoring him closely while he is playing down at Frome.
“He still spends half of the time training with us and his attitude and work rate have been exactly what we expect from him.”
Prior to his loan deal, Baker made two appearances for the Terras in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South Division this season without scoring, but did score twice during pre-season. Baker is set to be available for Frome Town’s clash at home against Walton Casuals today (3pm).
Meanwhile, the winners of the Weymouth FC Claret and Blue Lottery are: Ralph Ricardo from Dorchester who claims first prize, while in second is Mark Gale from Nottingham and lastly James Curtis from Portland claims the third prize.
