Weymouth F.C can confirm that Calvin Brooks has taken the difficult decision to move on from the club. With the demands of the National League, Calvin has found it harder and harder to commit the time needed to play at this level alongside his work.

Vice Chairman, Paul Maitland: “Calvin can reflect on his time with us with great pride and satisfaction.  On a personal note, I would like to pay tribute to Calv, he has amassed a huge amount of games for the club, with plenty of great memories along the way. When Calvin approached us with his decision, he showed great honesty and integrity in doing so which typifies his time here. We wish Calv every success in the future.”

Brian Stock: “Calvin will deserve all the plaudits he gets for what has been a fantastic and memorable time with Weymouth Football Club.
He always gave 110% in his performances and will always be remembered for his contributions both on and off the pitch.
With the demands of the National League increasing all the time, it’s understandable for Calvin to make this decision to want to leave and a decision we have supported given the respect we have for him.

I’d like to personally thank Calvin for all his efforts since I became manager. He has lead by example, played games for me when not always 100% fit, showed great character within the changing room and when asked to play in numerous positions he did for the benefit of the team.
He will leave the club having helped create memories that will long live in the memory of all our supporters and a move that not only myself but I’m sure the staff, the players, the supporters and everyone else associated with club wishes him well for! Good luck Calv.”

Everybody at Weymouth Football Club would like to thank Calvin Brooks for his all his effort and passion for the club and wish him all the best for the future.
