I’m Peter Marsden the owner of Peter Marsden Property Finance Ltd. My company has been established 21 years and is involved in arranging specialist finance for property professionals by that I mean property developers and owners of property portfolios. We’re based in London and Essex.
Wearing a different hat, I was up until a few years ago majorly involved in football. I was a director of Accrington Stanley FC from 2007 to 2016 the last 3 years at Accy as chairman. I was then chairman of Wealdstone FC from 2016 to 2019.
Bobby Wilkinson was my manager at Wealdstone and I have followed his subsequent career with great interest. He is a top manager and I think he can and will go a long way in the game.
I have seen a few Weymouth games since Bobby was is installed as manager and I am particularly taken with the fervour of the Weymouth fans. I think Weymouth is a proper football club with a great fan base and the club has massive potential.
I am happy to help Bobby by sponsoring the yellow away kit. I was there at Hemel on Saturday and it is already proving to be a lucky kit.
I hope more of the local businesses get behind Bobby and the team. Bobby is the right manager for the job and I have a hunch he will take the team to the playoffs this season.
As great a manager as Bobby is in unearthing hidden gems and getting the best out of players he does of course need financial support to attract and keep good players. I would like to think that more and more of the local businesses in Weymouth jump on board the Terras bandwagon and help with sponsorship and the like.
Off the pitch I also think Paul Maitland is doing a sterling job so the stars are aligning for Weymouth
