STRIKER Stuart Fleetwood announced that he has extended his loan deal with Weymouth until the end of the season.
The former Cardiff, Forest Green and Luton frontman, whose loan spell from parent club Bath City was originally set to expire after tomorrow’s home clash with Cinderford Town (3pm), took to social media to reveal the news.
A post on the striker’s Twitter account said: “Happy to have extended my stay at Weymouth FC until the end of the season.
“Would like to wish everyone at Bath City good luck and to say thank you for the support. Good luck for the remainder of the season.”
The post continued: “Looking forward to seeing what happens with the games left and anything can happen.”
A spokesperson for the Terras told Echosport: “Subject to paperwork, he (Fleetwood) will be here until the end of the season.
“He has become an integral part of the squad and a big influence within the changing room, certainly with the younger lads, and he has certainly proved over the last few weeks that he has got his goalscoring touch back. We hope that continues for the rest of the season.
“Jason (Matthews, manager) would like to place on record his thanks to Gary Owers, the Bath City manager, and Bath City as a club for their help in pushing things through and allowing it to happen.
“Jason would also like to thank the entire club for their backing with the deal.”
