Dear Youth Team Secretaries and Managers,
Weymouth FC cordially invites you to join us in our Youth Tournament 2018 to be held at The Bob Lucas Stadium on 12/13th May 2018.
After a successful first year, we are delighted to offer your teams the chance to take part in our growing youth tournament again this year.
Last year we were honoured to host to Under 6 – Under 13 age groups and this year, we are happy to be able to expand our tournament to include Under 7 to Under 15.
We wish to take this opportunity to once again thank the people who entered last year and hope they enjoyed it so much they will be excited to join us again this year.
Attached is an Entry Form which details the dates of the tournament for each age group with our entry price remaining at £25 per team, the same as last year.

Saturday 12th May will be for Under 7, 8 and 9 (as of 2017/18 season) in the morning register at 9 am for a 9.30am KO and expected to finish by approx. 1 pm. This will be on a non-competitive basis (max 10 places available). All participants in these age groups will get a participation medal.
On the same day in the afternoon Under 10 & 11 (as of 2017/18 season) with the need to register by 2 pm for a 2.30pm KO and be expected to be finished by approx. 6 pm (max of 10 places for U10 and 6 places for U11 available).
Sunday 13th May will be for Under 12 &13 (as of season 2017/18) with the need to register by 9 am for a 9.30am KO (max 6 places available).
On the same day in the afternoon Under 14 & 15 (as of season 2017/18) will need to register for 2 pm for a 2.30pm KO (max 6 places available).
All games are 6 a-side. Maximum of 10 players registered to each team. All players to be in their respective age groups as per the 2017/18 season.
A copy of the tournament rules will be attached to the confirmation email Please encourage all Managers to read the Tournament Rules and pay particular attention to the introduction of Rule 7 b) and the need to comply with Rule 10 b) detailing the ‘home’ team must provide a match ball to not halt play.
Can we recommend every team clearly marks their balls with their team name to avoid confusion as we cannot be held liable for lost footballs. An application for sanctioning of this tournament has been made to Dorset FA.
Confirmation will be in the form of a Registration Form sent to the manager/secretary’s email address after receiving a properly completed Entry Form and cleared payment.
You are welcome to apply for more than one team in the same age group; however, acceptance will depend on available places and cannot be guaranteed.
A BBQ and a number of other refreshments and activities will be available on both days along with programmes for the day’s events.
