Statement
Weymouth Football Club wish to advise their supporters that the Buildbase FA Trophy 1st Round fixture against Needham Market will not now take place on Tuesday 18th December 2018.
The visitors have unfortunately advised the Football Association that they have withdrawn from the competition.
While we have every sympathy with Needham Market’s predicament in travelling to Dorset twice in a few days, we all as clubs know the rules of the competition when we enter. The weather can affect such fixtures at this time of year but we just need to accept this as a fact of life. If the boot was on the other foot we can assure you that the team would have been there representing the club on Tuesday.
As a result of this, Weymouth FC will now progress to the Second Round of the Buildbase FA Trophy.
