Weymouth Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Ahkeem Rose.

A pacy winger, Ahkeem joins the Terras having spent last season with the National League’s Dover Athletic.

Jamaican born Rose started his career with Grimsby Town making 34 appearances for the Mariners in League Two.

He made 15 appearances for Dover Athletic last season before the Kent-based side decided to not play any further matches in the 2020/21 season.

Speaking to uptheterras.co.uk, Brain Stock said “He’s an exciting player, he’s one of those edge of your seat type of players with pace to burn.

“He can operate anywhere across the front three and his main attribute will be trying to get in behind defenders.

“When we look at the personnel that we do currently have in the team, he’s something different that we don’t have and he’ll be a real asset to the team.

“He’s young, enthusiastic and although he had unfortunate circumstances at Grimsby he burst onto the scene and scored goals, so we will be looking to replicate that at this level.

“He’ll be one of those players who will be trying to rack up as many appearances as he can because I feel he has a really bright future ahead of him.”
