Weymouth FC is pleased to give supporters advanced notice of the launch of a controlled release of 2020/21 season tickets for our forthcoming return to the National League.
With the Bob Lucas capacity likely to be significantly reduced for the forthcoming season due to the continuing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, this has required the club to review our operating procedures to ensure that we emerge with a sustainable football club devoid of outdated practices and behaviours. We will, therefore, be issuing an initial tranche of 100 Stand season tickets and 400 Terrace season tickets. There will be further staged releases following constant review by the club, who will continue to liaise with all governing bodies including the National League and the Local Authority.
Unfortunately, the ongoing challenges caused by Covid has meant that it is not a practical option for us to offer an Early Bird campaign this season, nor will we be in a position to discount them as has generally been the case in previous years. Rather, this season with the reduced capacity for social distancing measures by purchasing a season ticket you will be guaranteed admittance to all first-team National League games subject to Covid-19 guidance allowing.
We are extremely aware that price and category changes made for the forthcoming season may adversely affect some of you and the club will be offering the option to pay in instalments. In evaluating our approach to season tickets, we have consulted with a number of supporters and sponsors and we feel it is a business necessity to align our season tickets closer to our needs and to the offerings of other clubs.
All season and match day tickets will be contactless and need to be purchased prior to match days as there will be no tickets available for sale on the day of any match. To enable this, the club are setting up a dedicated website and phone number for the purchase of tickets, we hope that this will be launched later this week. There will also be a ticket office for the collection of tickets in person on match days.
Due to the reduced capacity and social distancing measures we are severely limited on the number of persons that we can seat in the stand. Depending on emerging government advice on social distancing within sports stadia, preferred seating may not be available on a match by match basis. Should this be the case, we will proactively advise you how social distancing measures will be safely deployed and there will be a seating plan for each match.
