Saturday’s result confirmed our relegation from the Southern Premier League, a hugely disappointing outcome for everyone connected with Weymouth Football Club, particularly coming down to the final day of the season.
It has been a challenging season, with changes in management and playing personnel being a contributing factor. We have worked tirelessly to try and correct our course, but ultimately we fell short as a Board in delivering what was needed.
We fully recognise the hurt and frustration this brings.
We would also like to place on record our sincere thanks to all of our supporters for their unwavering backing throughout the past season. Your continued support is the bedrock of this club.
Over the coming week, the Board and management across the club will come together to reflect, regroup, and determine the best path forward. We are fully committed to working tirelessly to rebuild, improve, and return the club to where we believe it belongs as soon as possible. We will then announce a date for a fans’ forum in the near future.
Thank you for standing with us. Your continued support remains vital as we move on to the challenge ahead of us.
