BOTTOM side Cinderford Town will provide a “tricky game” for the Terras away from home tonight (7.45pm), according to boss Jason Matthews.
Weymouth go into the contest at the Causeway having won their last two in all competitions, against a Town outfit that have just six points from their opening 10 league fixtures so far.
Both of Cinderford’s victories in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division have come at home this term however, including a 4-0 triumph over Dorchester last month.
And, despite Weymouth netting five at Stratford on Saturday, Cinderford have still scored two more goals than Matthews’ men in the league at present.
Giving his thoughts ahead of the contest, boss Matthews told Echosport: “Cinderford we will treat with the utmost respect, we know it’s a tricky game. We need to go there and do a job.
“We need to be positive and take the game to Cinderford, we need to keep taking points away from home.
“Looking at them, they do score goals, so it might be quite an open game.
“I feel that we need to take our form on from Saturday, where we were really good.”
Matthews, who is set to have a fully fit squad to pick from once again, added: “There is a massive fight to get in the (squad of) 16 at the moment.
“It’s incredibly tough for the ones who are left out because nobody has done much wrong but that’s the position we are in.”
