WFC director Mr Tony Greaves has stepped down from the board.

Mr Greaves cited pressure of work as the main reason, but would continue to support the Terras in the future; he is also contemplating managing one of the youth sides.

Mr Greaves has been a director for eight years and was the driving force behind the reintroduction of the reserves and youth set up at the Wessex Stadium.

The reserve side has been in existence for five seasons and for three of them were champions of their respective league, also, a number of players have come through the youth teams and are looking to beak into the reserves and first team, Kyle Critchell another product of the youth policy has signed for Southampton.

Mr Greaves wanted it be known that he wished the club all the best in the future and thanked Tim Davies (youth development) and Dave Kiteley (reserve team manager)for their help and support.

Chairman Mr Terry Bennett was shocked at his announcement and issued the following statement. “Tony has worked hard with the youth set up and can be justly proud of his endeavours, we as a board would publicly like to thank him for his hard work as a director of WFC.”
