Paul Maitland spoke to theterras.com ahead of Wednesday evening’s trip to Farnborough.

Josh Barton: We visit Farnborough On Wednesday. Another tricky game…

Paul Maitland: They are the home team so the onus will be on them to get a positive result. We have to focus on what we do and apply ourselves in the correct way for what will be a difficult game.

JB: Harry Baker has been in good form of late and recently won supporters player of the month for September. Does this always give the management food for thought?

PM: We have 17-18 players in the squad. Harry has done well since he has joined the club. If he carries on doing the right things then he will force his way into the team. We are very fortunate to have four very good strikers to choose from. Ben Thomson has been in great form, Brandon Goodship has started to find the net, matching his performances. Matt Tubbs brings us a wealth of knowledge and experience and as I said, Harry has done really well.

JB: A few long away games are on the horizon over the next couple of weeks. Does this have an impact on how you prepare?

PM: We will prepare as we always do. It’s one game at a time. We try and do our research on what the opposition will bring to the table, the state of the pitch and other factors. The travel isn’t an issue in that the players and ourselves are used to it when we go away in this league.
