10 games. That’s all that is left in this crazy season in the Southern Premier South.
After last Saturday’s 0-2 win against Frome, the Terras sit 1 point behind Taunton Town with a game in hand as well going into Saturday’s crucial fixture against Hendon. Furthermore after picking up the 3 points in Somerset it meant that Weymouth have picked up 4 wins in a row for the first time this season and means the title race is firmly back in the hands of Mark Molesley’s men after Taunton were defeated 1-0 by Harrow in their previous fixture.
In this run for Weymouth, the second win was against Hendon on the 26th of February where goals from Jordan Ngalo, Brandon Goodship and Jake McCarthy resulted in a 2-3 win for the Terras. Moreover it was done the hard way by Weymouth after going 1-0 down early on.
For the opponents it was another defeat on a poor run of form that have seen them slide down the table in 2019. However Hendon beat Basingstoke 1-0 last Saturday which was their first home win and second in total in 2019. The other coming in a 0-2 away win at Merthyr.
Hendon have picked up 17 points away from home this season having played 16 games on the road. Hendon currently sit 14th in the table with 41 points. Their record after 33 games played stands at; Won 11, Drawn 8 and Lost 14.
Weymouth will have to look out once again for danger man Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick who has scored 8 goals in 24 games this season and he scored for Hendon in the 2-3 win for Weymouth.
