ABDULAI Baggie admits he will be looking out when Weymouth are set to face his former side Poole Town when the fixtures for the Southern League South Division 2018/19 season are released.

Baggie made nine appearances in the league for the Dolphins in the 2017/18 season, before he was released and subsequently joined Weymouth in October.

Baggie said: “It will be, it will be a funny one in terms of I did not really expect it really but it is one fixture that I will look out for.

“I am looking forward to going back there as well.

“I am sure they will be a good outfit.”

When asked if he will celebrate if he scores, Baggie said: “I think we will decide that on the day, hopefully I do score but I do not think it will go down too well but see what it comes down to.

“If I don’t score then it is what it is but if I do score it will be great but the main thing is that we win.”

Baggie has committed to the Terras for the 2018/19 season and won the away fans’ player of the year award.

Baggie said: “It felt good, I was not really expecting it to be honest with you, because obviously I came in halfway through the season and the boys were still doing quite well.

“So it was obviously just to come in and get my head down and try and earn a place, try and earn a deal and try and do well, try as much as I can and try and have a positive impact within the team and try and help the team as much as possible.”

When asked about next season, Baggie said: “I think it will be quite interesting to see where we will be next season and hopefully start off where we finished in terms of momentum, because we finished quite strongly.

“We have obviously got two new players signed for next season (Tony Lee and Jordan Seabright) and so we are losing Calvin as well so we will just see how we adapt on that and how we cope without Calvin.

“All in all, I hope it is another positive season next season.”
