WEYMOUTH chairman Ian White believes Mark Molesley is the best manager he has seen during his 23 years at the Terras.
Molesley continued his outstanding record as Weymouth boss by sealing promotion to the National League, ending the Dorset clubโs 11-year absence in non-leagueโs top tier.
After ascending to the National League South via winning the 2018/19 Southern Premier South title, Weymouthโs 3-0 penalty shootout win over Dartford secured a stunning back-to-back promotion.
In his first full season in charge, Molesley guided Weymouth to the Southern Premier South play-offs, where they lost 3-0 in the semi-finals to Kingโs Lynn โ who they will meet next season.
And White heaped praise on the former Bournemouth midfielder after his latest feat.
He told Echosport: โWe have, in my view, the best manager that Iโve ever seen here in my 23 years at the club, without a shadow of a doubt.
โThe other thing a lot of people forget about Mark is that Markโs had to work within our regime as well.
โMark has been brilliant, Iโve got to be fair to him. Iโve said to him โplease come to me if you want (to sign) somebody, weโll look at it, but if the club canโt afford it, we donโt do it.โ
โHe understands it, because the clubโs had too much bad history. Itโs so important for us to make people realise that the club is different now.โ
Asked about his eye-catching three seasons in charge, Molesley was typically modest.
He said: โIโm obviously delighted but I think when the team wins credit should go to the players.
โIf thereโs anything youโre going to credit me with, itโs surrounding myself with great people and Iโve managed to do that with my staff and players. Full credit should go to them.โ
