WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley believes the Terras arrive at their Vanarama National League South battle with Billericay Town tonight (7.45pm) โin a good placeโ.
Molesley, whose side slipped to fourth after a weekend disrupted by the postponement to their clash with Hemel Hempstead, dismissed any notion of a 10-day gap affecting his squad.
Weymouth had to contend with an identical timeframe between games before beating Hampton & Richmond 2-1 in their last outing.
Molesley told Echosport: โWe didnโt want to have a gap but weโll try not to look at the negatives, weโll look at the positives.
โWeโve had another training session and a chance to get players fitter, others have had a chance to catch up.
โWe arrive at Billericay with no excuses and in a good place. Itโs up to us now, weโre looking forward to the game.
โWe didnโt want a break in momentum but itโs only been 10 days since our last game, itโs not like weโve gone two weeks.โ
The original fixture was postponed due to vandalism of the Bluesโ pitch, but Molesley held no concerns over the Essex sideโs turf.
โTheyโd originally done a great job with the pitch,โ the former Bournemouth midfielder said. โItโs a good surface anyway but theyโve worked hard on it since.
โHopefully it will be in good enough nick to get the game played.โ
Weymouth have no injury concerns other than the trio of Sam Sherring, Andy Robinson and Callum Buckley (all ankle).
Weymouthโs fixture at Hemel Hempstead has been re-arranged for Tuesday, December 10 (7.45pm).
