Matchday Preview – Hungerford Town (A) Match Day 6

It’s only matchday 6 of the new league season for the Terras but this midweek game will already be the second time we’ve faced one of our fellow Southern league Premier relegation rivals from last season. The first was of course Dorchester on the opening day of this campaign but we have to wait a little longer to play Tiverton.
In 2025/26 we secured 4 points out of 6 against the Crusaders, a 0-0 draw in Berkshire under Steve Claridge was followed up later in the season with a thumping 4-0 win under current gaffer Jamie Wells at the Bob Lucas stadium.
We have played the hosts 17 times over the years with their manager Danny Robinson overseeing 5 of those meetings since his appointment in 2020. Overall we enjoyed 8 victories to their 6 with 3 draws – Robinson’s sole win in charge coming in the 2022/23 season.
At stake for the Terras is a chance to make it 6 league wins out of 6 to start a season, a feat not achieved by the club since 1960. However Hungerford will stand in their way as, although they are currently mid-table, their results so far have shown they can beat anyone in this league on their day.
Will the Terras lack the hunger for dominance or can they make it six of the best?
