BRIAN Stock hopes Saturdayโs 1-0 win over Hartlepool United can โkick-startโ Weymouthโs Vanarama National League season ahead of a trip to Aldershot tonight (7.45pm).
Stockโs men upset the odds against Pools โ who began the contest in second place with four consecutive wins โ thanks to Josh McQuoidโs headed winner.
After winning against Kingโs Lynn and Stockport, Weymouth have found good form hard to maintain โ and Stock is hoping that trend does not repeat itself.
The Terras, lying in 21st, are set to face the in-form Shots who have three wins in five games.
Stock told Echosport: โI say it after every win: โHopefully this will kick-start us.โ
โHopefully we can go to Aldershot and put on a similar performance.
โWeโll be doing our homework on them and hopefully when we cross that white line weโll remember everything we did well (against Hartlepool).โ
Terrasโ captain McQuoid and midfielder Cameron Murray โ who was caught by the studs of Poolsโ sub Luke Molyneux on Saturday โ should be fit.
On the duo, Stock said: โJosh is tired, just a bit of cramp. He was asked to sit on their deep-lying midfield player and press from that position.
โItโs a big task and he kept one of their best players quiet.
โCam has come off and the sending off, when you look at it, heโs ripped his whole shirt and heโs got studs going right the way across his body.
โItโs quite a nasty one, so hopefully heโll be OK.โ
Myles Anderson (ribs) and Ade Olumuyiwa (knee) have been training for a week, but Josh Leslie-Smith (concussion) is doubtful.
Stock said: โWeโre almost coming back to a full-strength side. The only ones that are struggling are JLS in terms of his concussion.
โMyles has been training for a week, Adeโs been training for a week but theyโre coming into a situation where theyโve got to work themselves into the squad.
โCody (Cooke) was left out of the squad (for Hartlepool). Weโre leaving out some good players.
โThereโs competition for places. Bringing new players in breeds that.โ
