Sam Jackson joins the Terras
Weymouth Football Club are delighted to welcome experienced left sided defender Sam Jackson to the Bob Lucas Stadium.
Sam joins Weymouth following a short second spell at Poole Town, the 27-year-olds return to Poole Town in the summer of 2026, was announced by the Dolphins highlighting his experience, local knowledge and leadership qualities when announcing his signing. Sam certainly does joins us with considerable Southern League experience and a strong reputation for leadership from his previous spells spent with Wimborne Town, Bashley, Poole Town and Dorchester Town. Weymouth are delighted to be able to announce Sam as a Terra.
During his time with Wimborne, Sam was appointed club captain and became an important part of the side. During three seasons with the Magpies he made more than 100 appearances and captained the club during a successful period which included winning the Southern League Division One title in 2024 before leaving to join Poole Town in the summer with the hope of building on his previous three seasons with Poole Town when he made 59 appearances during this first spell at Tatnam having signed from Dorchester Town in 2019/20,
After Sam’s first spell at Poole, he subsequently moved to Bashley for the 2022/23 campaign, where an impressive season earned him a successful move to Wimborne Town.
Sam Jackson now makes the move to Weymouth, adding further experience, character and leadership to this Terras squad.
